Safe SQL console
Run migration scripts (procedures / schema) with safety checks, optional database backup, and an audit log.
Safety rules
- Admin only. You must type
RUN SCRIPT to confirm.
- Blocked:
DROP DATABASE, TRUNCATE, real DROP TABLE, DELETE/UPDATE without WHERE, logins/users, xp_cmdshell, BACKUP/RESTORE inside the paste box, USE (other DB), grants, etc.
- Allowed:
CREATE/ALTER/DROP PROCEDURE (and function/view/trigger/index), IF/GO batches, careful INSERT/UPDATE/ALTER TABLE.
- Before run: script is saved under
App_Data/SqlConsole, and existing procedure definitions are snapshotted when possible.
- Full
.bak backup needs SQL Server write access to App_Data/DbBackups (same machine). On remote SQL hosts, backup from the panel/SSMS first, then uncheck backup here.
